After working in Gangnam for two years, I can now see where the real good restaurants are. Initially, I only visited famous places, but lately, I've been curious about the real restaurants that office workers visit daily. So, this week, I tried different places during lunchtime and I'm sharing the Top 3 Gangnam office worker restaurants I've discovered!

1st Place: 김태완스시 대치본점 - The Ultimate Value for Money

The first is 김태완스시 near Hanti Station, and it's truly a hidden gem. At first, I thought, "Sushi for lunch?" but it was completely different when I visited.

During lunchtime, it's bustling with nearby office workers. It seems like people working in Daechi-dong office towers frequent this place. I found out about it through a recommendation from a senior at work, and after one visit, I became a regular.

The most surprising thing here is the price. In Gangnam, this level of quality would usually cost at least 50,000 KRW, but the omakase is only 27,000 KRW. I couldn't believe it at first.

2nd Place: 대낚식당 역삼본점 - Perfect for a Drink!

The second is 대낚식당 in Yeoksam. I discovered this place by chance, seeing people lined up outside piqued my curiosity, so I went in.

The signature dish is 곱도리탕, a fantastic combination of beef tripe, octopus, and shrimp. The broth is especially clean yet rich in flavor. It seems to be a popular spot for office gatherings.

Recommended Menu

While the main dish is the 곱도리탕 with beef tripe, octopus, and shrimp, the beef tripe rice bowl is also delicious. It seemed a bit salty at first, but the taste became addictive as I continued eating. Adding udon noodles makes for a hearty meal!

3rd Place: 유니네 고깃간 강남역점 - A Restaurant That Grills for You

The last is 유니네 고깃간 near Gangnam Station. I went there for dinner with friends and it was so good that I decided to try it for lunch as well.

The best part is that the staff grills the meat for you. This is a great system for busy office workers who need to eat quickly during lunchtime. You just sit and eat, it's so convenient!

Atmosphere and Service

It has a youthful vibe, attracting many office workers in their 20s and 30s. The pork belly is thick and juicy, and the cold kimchi noodle soup is refreshing and pairs perfectly with the meat.

For four people, the bill came to 136,000 KRW, which is reasonable for a meat restaurant in Gangnam. The best part was being able to eat comfortably since they grill for you.

Overall: The Reason Real Office Workers Visit

After visiting all three places, I understood why office workers frequent them. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and most importantly, you can eat quickly, making them perfect for lunchtime.

Personally, I highly recommend 김태완스시. The value for money is incredible. 대낚식당 is great for gatherings or dinner plans, and 유니네 고깃간 is perfect for when you want to enjoy meat comfortably.
