Hello! Today, I planned to meet a friend in Gangnam for lunch, and I wanted to try something new instead of our usual spots. After searching diligently on Naver, I discovered this place. It's called '감탄성신초밥,' and the reviews mentioned that the sushi is delicious and the atmosphere is great, so I made a reservation and visited!

Location and Accessibility

감탄성신초밥 is about a 2-minute walk from Exit 6 of Sinnonhyeon Station. It's also about an 8-minute walk from Exit 11 of Gangnam Station, so it's really accessible. The address is 14, Gangnam-daero 106-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the first floor, located at 813-2 Yeoksam-dong.

Since it was a weekday lunch time, there were quite a few people, but fortunately, we could enter without waiting. It might be busier on weekends, so I recommend making a reservation in advance!

Store Atmosphere and Interior

As soon as I entered the store, I felt it had a really clean and modern atmosphere. The wood-toned interior gave a warm yet sophisticated feel. The large windows allowed plenty of natural light, making it bright and pleasant.

There was a bar table where you could watch the food being prepared, and there were group seats, making it a good place for company dinners or gatherings. Overall, it was clean and well-organized, making it a perfect spot for a date!

The menu was really diverse. The lunch special sushi set is 13,000 KRW, and you can enjoy sushi with soba or udon, which is great value for money. It's a limited menu available only from 12 PM to 2 PM on weekdays.

The regular menu includes assorted sushi for 14,000 KRW, special sushi for 17,000 KRW, and premium sushi for 23,000 KRW. There are also various soba and udon options like half futomaki for 14,900 KRW, mazesoba for 12,000 KRW, and salmon soba for 14,000 KRW. Ordered Menu and Taste Review

Once seated, they provided cold water and a basic setting. I ordered the lunch sushi set with soba. I thought it would be satisfying to have sushi with warm soba.

When the food arrived, the composition was really substantial! The sushi included salmon, tuna, shrimp, and inari, all of which were perfectly portioned for easy eating. The fish was fresh, and the rice in the inari sushi was particularly savory and delicious.

But the real standout was the soba! The broth had a subtle yuzu fragrance, giving it a refreshing and cool taste that was truly delightful. The noodles were chewy, and the tempura was crispy, making it very satisfying. It included shrimp tempura and shishito peppers, which paired well with the broth, leaving a lasting impression.

Tried the Futomaki Too

My friend ordered the half futomaki, and we shared it. It was really delicious! It supposedly contains 14 ingredients, and each bite offered a variety of flavors. The size was quite large, so even the half portion was filling.

Service and Atmosphere

The staff were very friendly, and the food came out quickly, which was great. There were many office workers and quite a few couples, given it was lunchtime. The atmosphere was neither too quiet nor too loud, making it perfect for conversation.

Especially sitting by the window, we could enjoy the outside view while having a leisurely meal. The tableware was pretty and clean, making it great for taking photos!
