Finally Visited Sinsa Sushi Rikay! The Place Highly Praised by Dudley ๐ฃ
I made a reservation right after watching YouTuber Dudley's video! An omakase in the trendy Sinsa-dong Garosu-gil area, I was half excited and half worried. I booked the first slot at 6 PM on Saturday evening and went with a fluttering heart.
๐ Directions
It's located about a 5-minute walk from Sinsa Station Exit 8. It's in a quiet alley slightly off the bustling Garosu-gil, so it was a bit confusing to find at first, but I found it quickly by checking the map. Parking is available but paid, so I recommend using public transportation.
๐ Atmosphere
As soon as I opened the door, wow~ it was really luxurious! The bar table accommodates about 10 seats, allowing you to enjoy the fun of omakase up close with the chef. The modern yet warm-toned interior was perfect for a date.
๐ญ Waiting and Reservation Tips
After Dudley's video, reservations have become really difficult, they say. I barely managed to book a week in advance through Catch Table. Especially for weekend evenings, it fills up quickly, so I recommend booking in advance! They are closed every Monday.
๐ฝ๏ธ Course Composition and Taste
The dinner course is 110,000 won, while lunch is cheaper at 60,000 won. The menu changes every second week of the month, so check before visiting!
The composition using seasonal ingredients was really impressive. Since it was April, webfoot octopus was served, and all ingredients were fresh and delicious. The steamed abalone, which was simmered for several hours, was especially tender and tasty!
๐ฃ Highlight of Sushi Time
After the kaiseki course, finally sushi time! A total of 13-15 types of sushi are served, with the chef explaining each one as they prepare it.

The fish for sushi was marinated in advance, perfectly seasoned so there was no need to dip it in soy sauce. The tuna belly, in particular, melted in my mouth! ๐ฅฐ
๐ฐ Value for Money Evaluation
The price of 110,000 won for dinner initially felt burdensome, but after seeing the composition and quality, it was understandable. Especially for an omakase in the Gangnam area, it's reasonably priced. I want to try the lunch next time!
๐ฏ Visit Tips
โข Reservations can be made through Catch Table
โข Valet parking is available but paid (up to 10,000 won)
โข Only bar tables, no private rooms
โข If you have a small appetite, you can request to adjust the portion size in advance
โข Alcohol is not mandatory, so you can just enjoy draft beer without pressure
๐ Nearby Course Connections
Since it's in Garosu-gil, it's great to have dessert at a nearby cafe after the meal, and it's also nice to walk to Apgujeong Rodeo Street for shopping. There are many bars around Sinsa Station, making it perfect for continuing to a second round!
๐ญ Honest Overall Impression
I definitely understood why Dudley recommended it! The chef was really friendly and explained the food in detail, making it easy for omakase beginners to enjoy without pressure. It's a place I would highly recommend for a special date or anniversary.
100% intention to revisit! Next time, I want to go with friends or family and introduce this taste to more people. Visit before it becomes even harder to book! ๐
