Hot Place in Dogok-dong! I Had Really Delicious California Tacos at Queens Boulevard ㅠㅠ

A Hidden Gem in Dogok-dong Discovered by Chance

The taco place that my colleagues have been recommending nonstop! I finally visited. It's near Maebong Station, and it turned out to be closer to the Yangjaecheon walking trail than I thought, making it perfect for a visit after a nice walk on a good weather day.

It really feels like being in America! The neon signs are super hip, and even the signboard looks impressive. The atmosphere was great even during the day.

The Interior Was Even More Impressive

As soon as I walked in, I thought, 'Wow, this place is the real deal.' It's a complete American diner style!

There are vintage items like record players and turntables, creating a really nice vibe. However, the place is cozier than I expected, with about 6-7 tables? There's also a bar table.

The smell of tacos grilling in the kitchen was amazing ㅠㅠ The mix of butter and meat grilling aromas made my mouth water.

It's the trendy table ordering system. It felt a bit awkward at first, but the detailed menu descriptions made it convenient.

The Food Finally Arrived!

Nacho chips are served as a basic side. They're warm and pair really well with beer.

I ordered the California burrito and shrimp tacos. The portions were quite large, enough to share between two people.

The burrito was really packed! It had a lot of meat and even French fries inside, making the texture interesting. I guess this is the California style.

The shrimp tacos are highly recommended ㅠㅠ The shrimp were plump, the sauce was delicious, and the crispy hard shell had a great texture. Even though I don't usually eat cilantro, it was fine here.

When I went, it was a weekday lunch time, so I got in right away, but later on, I noticed quite a few people coming in. It seems to have become more popular after actor Son Seok-gu mentioned it on a show.

Nearby Places to Explore

The Yangjaecheon walking trail is right nearby, making it perfect for a stroll after a meal. Highly recommended on a nice day! Dogok Kkachi Park is also right next door.

Honest Overall Impression

It's really delicious! Especially recommended for taco lovers. The atmosphere is great, and the food is tasty... I want to go again next time ㅎㅎ

However, since the place isn't very large, there might be a wait, so I recommend going when you have some time. Also, if you don't eat cilantro, make sure to mention it when you order!
