Finally Visited Bang-I Byeol Gwan Rib Restaurant!
Hello! I want to introduce a restaurant I discovered by chance when I went on a date with a friend in Jamsil on Saturday. Actually, I saw a video about a rib restaurant on YouTube a few days ago, and it turned out to be this place! It's Bang-I Byeol Gwan, the place I immediately said, 'Let's go here!' after watching the show.
Getting There - 10 Minutes Walk from Jamsil Station
We exited from Jamsil Station Exit 10 and walked towards the Bangi-dong food alley. At first, I wondered, 'Is this really the place?' but then I noticed a unique building that was a converted house. It was fascinating because it had the feel of a cozy standalone house, which is rare in Jamsil!
Parking is not available right in front of the building, but you can park at Hyochang Plaza, which is a 5-minute walk away, and get 1 hour free. It might be more convenient to use public transportation.
First Impression and Atmosphere - Cozy Like a Suburban Restaurant
Wow, the atmosphere was amazing! There were tables outside and soft lighting, giving it a complete camping vibe. Since we went during the day, it felt cozy like being in the suburbs. I think it would be even more atmospheric at night.
The interior is clean and modern. One wall is a full window, allowing warm sunlight to pour in. There's also a second floor, which seems great for group gatherings or company dinners.
Waiting and Reservations - Reservations Are a Must!
We were lucky to get in right away, but there might be a wait during dinner hours. It's a popular place, so I recommend making a reservation in advance! The phone number is 0507-1341-6042.
Menu Selection and Ordering Process
There weren't many menu options, so we didn't have to worry much. Since there were two of us, we ordered the 'Pork Belly & Rib Barbecue Set' for 59,000 won. The set was really well-composed!
Detailed Food Review - It Was Really Delicious!
First, let me talk about the basic side dishes. Corn salad, radish salad, jalapenos, pickled radish, and pickled onions were served, along with cute knives for the meat, chili sauce, and mustard sauce. The knife was really cute! It's the kind you see at London steak houses.
Kimchi stew was also included in the set, served in a small pot, perfect for eating in between to cut the richness. It had well-fermented kimchi, tofu, and meat, with an addictive taste in a jjageuli style!
The ribs were truly amazing! I tried them with gloves on, and the meat fell off the bone so tenderly. It felt like automatic deboning. The barbecue sauce was savory and moist, perfectly matching the ribs.
The oak-smoked pork belly was also well-smoked, with no off-flavors at all. It had a crispy exterior and a moist interior! It was delicious in a Mexican style with grilled vegetables and salsa sauce on a tortilla, and it was a perfect combination with mustard sauce too.
Value for Money - Reasonable for the Composition
59,000 won might seem a bit expensive, but considering the composition, it's reasonable. Pork belly, ribs, sausage, tortilla, salad, pasta, grilled vegetables, kimchi stew, and even marshmallows! The portion was enough for two people.

Nearby Course Suggestions
Since it's in Jamsil, it's perfect for a walk around Seokchon Lake! Lotte World is also nearby, and there are many other restaurants in the Bangi-dong food alley, so it's fun to explore. We took a walk around Seokchon Lake after our meal, and it was great.
Honest Overall Impression
I was really satisfied! At first, I thought, 'Isn't it exaggerated because it's a broadcast restaurant?' but after visiting, I understood. The ribs were really tender, the atmosphere was great, and the staff was friendly.
The downside is that the price is a bit on the high side. However, considering the composition and taste, it's understandable. I recommend it for special date nights or family gatherings!
Willingness to Revisit: 100%! Next time, I'm planning to try the 1.2kg barbecue party. I'm curious about the tomahawk too, haha.
