A Perfect Family Outing at Seoul Land - A Thrilling Day with the Kids
Finally, the whole family at Seoul Land!
With the kids on vacation, we were wondering where to go when we heard about the Seoul Land Water Wars Festival and immediately made plans! I had only been to Seoul Land once when I was a child, but going with the kids this time felt completely new, haha.

We left home at 9 AM on Saturday and headed to Daegongwon Station. It's really convenient because you can get there directly by taking Subway Line 4. We saved on parking fees, and the kids love riding the subway, so it was a win-win!
The imposing sight of the roller coaster as soon as we entered

Entering from the East Gate parking lot, the roller coaster was right there! The kids were wide-eyed, exclaiming, "Wow, amazing!" haha. We paid the entrance fee with a Lotte Card and got a 53% discount. It was originally 32,000 won, but we got in for 15,040 won, such a deal!
The atmosphere was completely different from the entrance. It felt much cleaner and the facilities seemed much improved compared to when I visited as a child. The kids were already excited, wondering, "What should we ride first?"
The first challenge, Black Hole 2000!

Our eldest (5th grade) wanted to ride the roller coaster, so we headed straight to Black Hole 2000! The line wasn't as long as expected. Maybe because it was a weekday, we only waited about 15 minutes?
Wow... it was really thrilling! It had been a while since I last rode a roller coaster, so my heart was pounding, but the kid said, "Mom! It's really fun! Let's ride it again!" haha. The younger one wasn't tall enough yet, so they went to ride other attractions with dad.
The highlight of the Water Wars Festival

After lunch, the Water Wars Festival officially started! It takes place four times a day at the Earth Stage at 12 PM, 2 PM, 3:30 PM, and 5 PM. We went for the 2 PM slot.

Wow... it was no joke! The amount of water coming from the water cannons was enormous! The kids were running around having a blast, and we got soaked too, haha. Make sure to bring a change of clothes!
Water fun at Kraken Island

Right after the Water Wars, we headed to Kraken Island! It's truly a paradise for kids. The water is shallow, so even young children can play safely, and there are slides and fountains for fun.

The younger one was so excited and played for over an hour. There's a shaded area where parents can sit and relax while watching the kids play, which was great.
Lunch is Seoul Land's famous Jangteo Gukbap!

We were hungry, so we went to the Jangteo Gukbap restaurant! I remember eating here when I was a child. The taste is just the same, so clean and hearty.
The price is reasonable at 7,000 won, which is great for an amusement park, and the portions are generous, so the whole family was full. The kids said, "This is delicious!" and ate well.
Various rides and fun times

In the afternoon, we focused on rides that the whole family could enjoy together. Bumper cars, merry-go-round, Viking ship, etc... The bumper cars were especially funny as the whole family bumped into each other, haha.

We thought about trying the gyro drop, but the younger one was scared, so we passed! Instead, we took the Skyway and looked over the entire Seoul Land, which was really beautiful. We could see Cheonggye Mountain in the distance and the autumn leaves starting to change color, which was so pretty!
Don't miss the Animal Kingdom show!

The Animal Kingdom show at 4 PM! It's a show with animals, and the kids were completely focused. They especially loved the parrot riding a bicycle and clapped with joy.
If you sit at the front of the theater, the animals come close, making it even more fun. It's about 20 minutes long, but it's not boring and well-organized.
The unique charms of Seoul Land

After spending the whole day, here are the advantages of Seoul Land:
It's very accessible. You can get there directly by subway, saving on transportation costs and it's convenient. The parking lot is spacious, so it's okay to come by car too!
The prices are reasonable. With card discounts, you can enjoy it very cheaply. It's much more affordable than other large theme parks!
There's a variety of content for kids to enjoy. From thrilling rides to water play and performances, there's no time to get bored all day.
Things that could be improved and plans for the next visit
To be honest about the things that could be improved, some rides felt a bit old. But they seem to be well-maintained and have a nostalgic charm!
And since it was the summer festival period, there were quite a lot of people. Visiting on a weekday might allow for a more relaxed experience.
The kids were completely satisfied, saying, "Let's come again next time!" They especially loved the Water Wars Festival, so we'll definitely come back next summer!
"If you're looking for an amusement park where the whole family can have fun together, I highly recommend Seoul Land! It was a day filled with the kids' laughter ♡"
