Quality Unlimited Beef That's Too Good to Keep to Myself, Honest Review of Jinwonso Jamsil Saenae Branch
💡 In Search of the Restaurant That Dominated My Instagram Timeline
There are moments when the same restaurant takes over your Instagram timeline, right? Recently, my feed has been filled with 'Jinwonso Jamsil Saenae Branch'! It's an all-you-can-eat beef place with so many reviews praising its quality that I was honestly skeptical. Could the taste of the meat really be that good for the price? Even if it's unlimited beef, wouldn't it be frozen meat? With a heart full of doubt, I postponed my plans with a friend twice before finally visiting last weekend.

🚶♀️ Getting There, Easier Than Expected
The location is about a 5-6 minute walk from Jamsil Saenae Station Exit 4. Actually, I was shopping at Lotte World Mall in Jamsil and just moved one stop from Jamsil Station, and since Line 7 comes frequently, it was quick. If you go up Baekjegobun-ro 7-gil, it's on the 2nd floor of the building with a large 'Master Highball' sign. At first, I only saw the 1st floor and wondered, 'Is this the right place?' but you have to go up the stairs. Even on a weekday evening, seeing people lined up to go up made me realize it's indeed a hot spot.
🏠 First Impressions, Expectations Up! Clean Exterior and Atmosphere
The stairs leading up to the 2nd floor were adorned with meat illustrations and the interior was so clean that it was appealing. Usually, unlimited refill places have a cramped and chaotic image, but here, the exterior felt sophisticated! The clean sign and glass windows looked luxurious. Especially, the meat-related explanations visible as you go up the stairs made me think, 'They really care about their meat here.'

⏱️ Waiting Time, How Was It?
We visited around 7 PM on a Saturday and waited about 15 minutes. It was shorter than expected because I had made a reservation on Naver in advance. If you go without a reservation, you might wait 40 minutes to an hour on weekend evenings, so be sure to book ahead! While waiting, we could preview the menu, which was fun to plan what to order. Most groups were 2-4 people, and there were many couples and families too.
🪑 How's the Interior? Clean and Modern Atmosphere
Finally seated, the interior was more spacious and comfortable than expected! The tables were spaced out enough that you couldn't hear conversations from the next table. The interior was neatly decorated in a modern gray tone, and the high ceiling made it feel much more open. The lighting wasn't too dim, allowing us to see the color of the meat well. Most importantly, the ventilation was good, so the smell didn't linger on our clothes. The self-serve bar was also well-separated, making it easy to move around.

📋 What to Order? The Dilemma
The menu was ordered via tablet. The basic unlimited refill course was 25,000 won for weekday lunch and 27,500 won for dinner and weekends. Elementary school students were 15,000 won (17,500 won for dinner/weekends), and toddlers were 6,000 won. The variety of beef cuts offered was really diverse. From sirloin, ribeye, chuck flap tail, to outside skirt! Pork cuts like pork jowl and neck were also available, and marinated meat was offered, raising our expectations. My friend and I decided to ambitiously try almost every cut.
🛎️ From Ordering to Serving, Friendly Service
After ordering on the tablet, the first meat arrived in less than 5 minutes! The staff moved really quickly. They frequently changed the grill and gave tips on how to best cook the meat. What I especially liked was their careful control of the grill temperature, so the meat never burned! Honestly, I thought the service would be lackluster because it's all-you-can-eat, but they were really attentive and meticulous, which was touching.
🥩 Finally, the Meat Arrives, First Impressions?
When the meat arrived, I was really surprised. It wasn't the thin, quickly cooked meat you usually see at unlimited refill places, but fresh, thick cuts like those freshly prepared at a butcher shop! The ribeye, in particular, had beautiful marbling and vibrant color that caught my eye at first glance. When I looked closely, there was none of the typical texture or smell of frozen meat, so it was clear it was fresh. As the meat piled up on the table, my friend and I kept exclaiming, 'Wow, amazing.'

🍖 Main Menu Review: Taste Evaluation by Cut
We started with the sirloin, which had a really rich flavor. It was just the right thickness, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Next, the ribeye was truly amazing! The marbling was artful, and it melted in my mouth the moment I tasted it. Especially when dipped in salt, the natural flavor of the meat was enhanced. The chuck flap tail had a delightful chew, with a chewy texture and rich flavor that kept us reaching for more. The outside skirt, my personal favorite, was incredibly tender and flavorful here. Usually, high-quality cuts like outside skirt aren't available at unlimited refill places, but the quality here was impressive.
There was also marinated rib, which was delicious as the marinade complemented the meat without overpowering it. The spicy flavor was just right, making it a great palate cleanser in between. And because it was fresh, the flavor was really rich and deep. It was definitely a level above regular frozen unlimited refills.
🥗 Self-Serve Bar and Side Dishes
The self-serve bar was really well-stocked! From fresh salads to various side dishes and desserts, there was a wide variety. The wrap vegetables were fresh, and the kimchi and soybean paste stew were decent. There was also cold noodles, perfect for refreshing the palate while eating meat. What I particularly liked was the white wasabi sauce! Even though I don't like wasabi, it paired perfectly with the meat. There were over 10 types of sauces, so it was fun to choose according to your taste. For dessert, there was ice cream and fruit, with the watermelon being sweet and refreshing, perfect for ending the meal.
🍺 A Drink with the Meal, Perfect Pairing with Beef
My friend and I ordered a bottle of soju and a draft beer each, and as expected, soju was the best with beef! The soju was priced at 4,500 won, not much different from outside prices. And here's a tip we learned! If you wear a baseball uniform, you get a free draft beer. Since it's close to Jamsil Baseball Stadium, it's a great perk for those coming from a game.
💰 Value for Money: Extremely Satisfied!
It's truly surprising to be able to eat unlimited beef of this quality for 27,500 won. Beef prices have gone up a lot these days. At a regular barbecue place, it's hard to eat even 200g for this price, but here you can enjoy over 10 types of cuts to your heart's content, making it the best value! Plus, with the freshness of refrigerated meat, it was even more satisfying. We ate to our heart's content for 2 hours, and even thinking back, it's amazing.
👨👩👧👦 Who Should You Go With?
Personally, it's the perfect place to go with friends who love beef. Especially recommended for those who want to taste a little of various cuts! 2-4 people seem to be the ideal number. If there are too many people, the speed at which meat comes to the table might slow down. It also seems great for family outings. There's a separate menu for kids, and the self-serve bar is well-organized, making it enjoyable for the whole family. I'm planning to visit again with my parents next time!
💡 Tips and Precautions for Visiting
The most important tip! Make a reservation on Naver no matter what. Especially on weekends, if you don't reserve, you might wait a long time. Also, note that the usage time is limited to 2 hours. Parking is not available in-store, but there's a paid private parking lot across the street. Instead of tackling the self-serve bar first, it's better to order the meat first. If you order several cuts at once, the table gets crowded, so I recommend ordering 2-3 cuts at a time. Be sure to try the white wasabi sauce. Surprisingly, it pairs perfectly with the meat!
🚶♀️ Nearby Information
After dining at Jinwonso, it's nice to take a walk around Seokchon Lake nearby. It's perfect for digestion and enjoying a beautiful night view, making it a great date course. Or, since Lotte World Mall is just one stop away from Jamsil Saenae Station, you could go shopping. We took a lap around Seokchon Lake after our meal, and the cool breeze made the post-meal fullness much lighter. It would be even better on a nice day!
💬 Overall Impression: Breaking the Stereotype of Unlimited Beef!
Honestly, I had the preconceived notion that unlimited beef would be of lower quality, but Jinwonso Jamsil Saenae Branch completely shattered that stereotype. With fresh refrigerated meat, a variety of cuts, a clean environment, and friendly service! The satisfaction for the price was 200%! If you love beef, you must visit. Like me, your prejudice against unlimited beef will be completely shattered. I plan to visit again with my parents next time. This value-for-money restaurant is too good to keep to myself, so I'm leaving this review!
