Hapjeong Brunch Hotspot - Honest Review of Australia's No.1 Bagel, O'Bagel House
Discovering a New Bagel Sanctuary!
The bagel craze is really something these days, isn't it? Especially when you wake up late on a weekend morning and crave something delicious for brunch, I found an absolutely amazing place in Hapjeong! It's O'Bagel House, straight from Australia.
At first, I thought, 'Do I really need to go all the way to Hapjeong just for a bagel?' But my friend kept recommending it, so I went with some skepticism... Wow, it was on a whole different scale!
Overwhelming Scale from the Exterior

Walking from Hapjeong Station, you can see the big sign from afar! The building was so large for a bagel shop that I initially wondered, 'Is this the right place?' Located at 41, World Cup-ro 7-gil, Mapo-gu, the entire building is O'Bagel House.
Just from the exterior, you could feel the vibe of a top-rated restaurant on Google Maps in Brisbane, Australia. The clean and modern design really caught my eye.
The Interior Was Even More Impressive

As soon as I entered, I couldn't help but say 'Wow...' The high ceiling and spacious area made it feel anything but cramped. Each floor from the first to the third had a different atmosphere, and with a rooftop, it was truly on the level of a large café.
The interior exuded an Australian vibe, with a sophisticated blend of wood tones and green colors. There were plenty of seats, so even on weekends, I could sit without waiting.
The Joyful Dilemma of Choosing a Menu

As soon as I saw the menu, I was overwhelmed with choices. There was such a variety of bagels, and knowing they were made with authentic Australian recipes, I had high expectations. Starting from the basic plain to onion, blueberry, and everything bagels...
I usually like simple things, so I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese, while my friend ordered an everything bagel sandwich. We also ordered coffee, which was a bit cheaper as a set.
The Delight of the First Bite

When the bagel arrived, I was completely satisfied with the visual! The outside was toasted nicely, and the inside looked moist. The moment I took the first bite... Ah, this is what the skill of Australia's No.1 restaurant tastes like.
The texture was truly unique, chewy yet soft with a dense feel. The cream cheese was incredibly smooth and savory, perfectly complementing the bagel. Every bite was delicious as the toppings were evenly distributed.
Tasting My Friend's Everything Bagel...

I also tried a bite of my friend's everything bagel sandwich, which was topped with sesame seeds, onions, and garlic, filled with fresh vegetables and cheese. The seasoning was just right, not too strong, yet the flavor was excellent.
The fresh vegetables and the savory cheese harmonized well with the bagel, making it a hearty meal.
The Coffee Was Top-Notch Too

I only expected the bagels, but the coffee was really good too! The aroma of the beans was rich, yet not too bitter, making it perfect to enjoy with the bagel. The latte art was beautiful, making it great for photos.
Perfect Value and Atmosphere
The prices are slightly higher than typical bagel cafés, but considering the quality, I don't think it's expensive at all. The portions are generous, and the ingredients are good, so the value for money was quite satisfying.
Another big advantage was the spacious area, allowing you to sit and eat leisurely. Unlike other popular bagel places where you have to eat quickly and leave due to the cramped space, here you can enjoy a relaxed conversation.
Visit Tips and Nearby Information
On weekday mornings, it's not crowded, so you can enjoy it leisurely. On weekends, many people come for brunch, but the space is so large that the wait wasn't long.
Takeout is also available, so it would be nice to have a picnic at Hangang Park. Especially in this weather, eating on the rooftop would be really pleasant.
Places to Explore Nearby
After enjoying bagels at O'Bagel House, I recommend checking out Mangwon Market! It's about a 10-minute walk, and you can enjoy buying desserts like hotteok or bungeoppang while exploring the market.
Plus, Mangwon Hangang Park is right nearby, making it great for a walk on a nice day.
Honest Overall Impression

I can definitely see why it's ranked No.1 on Google Maps in Australia. Not only the quality of the bagels but also the spaciousness and overall atmosphere were all satisfying.
What sets it apart from other bagel shops is definitely the large space and relaxed atmosphere. Being able to enjoy brunch leisurely without having to rush is the best part.
The prices are a bit on the higher side, but considering the quality and atmosphere, I definitely have plans to revisit! It's truly a perfect spot for weekend brunch.
Next time, I want to try other types of bagels and eat on the rooftop. If you're looking for a bagel hotspot in Hapjeong, I highly recommend O'Bagel House! 🥯✨
