Finally, that red snow crab sandwich I kept seeing on Instagram!

Lately I kept seeing the 속초 red snow crab sandwich all over Instagram! Even in photos it looked absolutely stuffed with crab meat, so I was super curious. I heard it even appeared on the drama '밥이 좋아', so on this trip to 속초 I made it our very first stop—no matter what.

I thought it might be hard to find, but since the address is 교동로 75-1, it clicked that the shop name is 751, haha. It’s on the way up to 설악중학교, which was a bit confusing, but the mint-colored sign was so pretty that we found it right away!

Parking is tight, but manageable

The lot out front only fits about four cars, which was a bit of a bummer. We were lucky to snag a spot, but if not, we would’ve had to park in a nearby alley and walk over. On weekends or in peak season, parking will definitely be tough.

Ordering at the kiosk—easier than I expected

Inside, you order via kiosk. The staff kindly explained everything, so it wasn’t hard at all. The menu had lots of sandwiches, but we went for the most famous red snow crab sandwich and the egg pollack roe sandwich.

Two red snow crab sandwiches are 14,000원, so about 7,000원 each. Considering prices in 속초, it didn’t feel expensive. If it really uses real red snow crab, I’d say it’s a fair price.

20-minute wait—still worth it

After ordering, they told us there were about 20 people ahead. Even though we arrived around 9 a.m., there were already that many! I guess a true hot spot comes with a wait, lol.

The interior is adorably decorated, so it was fun to look around while waiting. There are only about three tables, so most people get takeout. We decided to take ours back to our place, too.

The red snow crab sandwich is finally here!

After about 20 minutes, our sandwiches were ready! The packaging was super neat, and they even gave us a bag—such a nice touch.

We opened them up as soon as we got back—and wow, they were really packed with red snow crab meat! Even more impressive in person than in the photos.

How did it taste?

The moment I took a bite, that sweet red snow crab flavor popped! There’s a lot of real crab meat, so you get it in every bite. The baguette is crisp on the outside and soft inside—great combo.

The special sauce paired well with the crab, and the pineapple was unexpected at first, but it actually worked—adds a refreshing touch!

The egg pollack roe sandwich is tasty, too

The red snow crab sandwich is so famous that the egg pollack roe one can get overshadowed, but it was really good too! The briny kick of the pollack roe and the soft eggs were a fantastic combo.

It’s a bit lighter than the red snow crab sandwich, so I’d recommend it if the crab sandwich feels a bit heavy for you.

We also tried the detox juice

We ordered the 설악산 detox juice, which is made with cabbage, broccoli, carrot, beet, tomato, apple, banana, and pineapple—a truly healthy blend! It helped cut the richness when paired with the sandwiches.

How’s the value for money?

Two red snow crab sandwiches are 14,000원, and two egg pollack roe sandwiches are 8,500원. Considering prices in 속초, it’s pretty reasonable. Especially the red snow crab sandwich—since it’s packed with real crab meat, I think it’s great value.

After grabbing 속초751샌드위치, it’s perfect to head straight to 속초해수욕장 or 영랑호 for a picnic! Taking the sandwiches to the beach sounds so romantic, too. 설악산 엑스포공원 is also close by.

Honest overall take

At first I thought it was just another Instagram-famous spot, but once I tried it, it was genuinely delicious! Especially the red snow crab sandwich—so much real crab meat, super satisfying. There’s a bit of a wait, but I think it’s worth it.

Parking is a little inconvenient, and the shop is small so most people have to do takeout—that’s the only downside. Still, if you’re in 속초, I highly recommend trying it at least once!
