I was so curious about the Suraksan Treehouse that kept appearing on SNS these days, so I finally decided to visit! I couldn't believe that such a wonderful treehouse experience was possible in Seoul, but seeing it in person was truly amazing. Here's the review of my visit to Suraksan Natural Recreation Forest 'Surak-hue' with a friend!

📍 Location and Accessibility

Surak-hue is located in Dongmakgol, Suraksan, Nowon-gu. It's about a 20-minute walk from Line 4's Bulamsan Station, and the accessibility was better than I expected. If you're driving, there's a dedicated parking lot, so no need to worry about parking.

If you turn left at Deokneung Hill, you'll see the sign right away. Some parts are still under construction, but it's already operational enough.

🌲 First Impressions and the Charm of the Treehouse

When I first arrived at Surak-hue, my thought was, "Wow, is this really Seoul?" The treehouses nestled in the lush forest looked like something out of a fairy tale.

The treehouse we were assigned was called "Flying Through the Night Sky." Isn't the name romantic? It was located about 14 meters above the ground, and the excitement started as soon as we climbed up.

🏠 Exploring the Inside of the Treehouse

I was surprised by the spaciousness as soon as we entered! It was much larger and more comfortable than it looked from the outside. The living room was spacious enough to accommodate a 6-person dining table.

The bed had a skylight, allowing you to see the sky while lying down. This was truly the highlight!

🎵 Special Emotional Touches

What really surprised me was the presence of a turntable and LP records! Such thoughtful details were touching. Listening to LP music in the forest felt like being in a completely different world.

🚿 Perfect Facilities!

The bathroom and shower room were impeccably clean. There was even a high-end bidet and lighting on the toilet! It felt like hotel-level quality.

The hairdryer was also really high-end. You could feel the attention to detail in every aspect.

🍽️ Chef Hong Sin-ae's Restaurant 'Season Seoul'

We had dinner at 'Season Seoul,' located right in front of the accommodation. Since it's run by Chef Hong Sin-ae herself, we had high expectations, and it exceeded them!

We ordered the Jeju Native Pork Stir-fry Set, and it was really delicious. Chef Hong Sin-ae personally served us and explained the dishes, which was truly touching!

🔥 The Romance of Campfire Time

After dinner, we spent time in the campfire zone. There was a large brazier for real wood burning, allowing us to enjoy a genuine campfire experience. Watching the campfire in the forest was a truly unique experience.

🌙 The Treehouse at Night

At night, the treehouse was truly fantastic. The soft lighting made it look like something out of a fairy tale. Each neighboring treehouse was also beautiful, making it fun to explore.

Our accommodation "Flying Through the Night Sky" looked really impressive at night. It felt like it was floating in the sky, just like its name.

⭐ Falling Asleep Under the Stars

Lying on the bunk bed on the second floor, I could see the stars through the skylight! It was amazing to see stars in Seoul. Falling asleep listening to LP music while watching the stars is an experience I won't forget.

🌅 A Relaxing Morning

Waking up in the morning and opening the window was truly refreshing. I could hear the birds and the air was clear, making it a truly healing morning.

💰 Price Information and Booking Tips

Surak-hue is scheduled to officially open on July 17, 2025. Prices start at 55,000 won for a double room during the off-season, and it gets more expensive during peak seasons or weekends. The treehouses are likely to be in high demand for reservations.

Nowon-gu residents have priority booking and a 10% discount, so make sure to check if you're a resident!

📝 Visiting Tips

• Book in Advance: The treehouses are likely to be very popular, so book as soon as reservations open!
• Bring Your Own LP Music: If you have your own LP, bring it and listen to it
• Camera is a Must: There are plenty of photo opportunities
• Comfortable Clothing: Since it's in the forest, comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended
• Prepare for Insects: There might be mosquitoes or insects in the summer, so be prepared

🌟 Honest Overall Impression

It was a truly satisfying trip! It was amazing to have such an experience in Seoul, and the facilities were much better than I expected. Spending a night in the treehouse was especially special.

However, it's a bit disappointing that some facilities are still under construction and that reservations might be highly competitive. But I think it's definitely worth visiting!

If you need healing or want a special experience, I highly recommend it. Whether you go with friends, a partner, or family, you'll make great memories. I want to go again next time!
