The Place My Friend Kept Recommending, So I Finally Went

My coworker has already recommended the Banpo Moonlight Rainbow Fountain for the third time... Honestly, I thought 'What's so special about a fountain?' but once I went, it was completely different! I went with my boyfriend on a Sunday evening and we were both very satisfiedㅠㅠ

Getting off at Express Bus Terminal Station and coming out of Exit 8-1, it was closer than I thought. About a 15-minute walk? But you really have to walk a lot, so comfortable shoes are a must!

Banpo Hangang Park That Was Impressive from the First Impression

Seriously, the scale was enormous! I didn't know the Han River was this wide. People were already spreading mats and settling down, and the smell of chicken delivery was in the air~ I was totally in healing mode.

I also stopped by Seoraeseom, and it was the perfect season for canola flowers, so it was really beautiful! I got some great shotsㅋㅋ We spent about 30 minutes taking photos and playing around before moving to catch the fountain show.

The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain Was No Joke

We saw the first show at 7:30... Wow, it was amazing. It was completely different from what I saw in photos! I didn't know the water jets went up that high, and the rainbow lights were truly fantastic.

The fountain show lasts for 20 minutes, and there wasn't a dull moment. The height of the water jets changes with the music, and the colors keep changing... I understand why people keep coming back.

Completed the Journey to Sebitseom! A Night View Hotspot

After the fountain, we walked to Sebitseom. The night view here is really... indescribableㅠㅠ Each of the three islands is lit differently, which was so fascinating.

There are cafes and observatories on the islands, but the prices are a bit high. However, the view is absolutely stunning! You can see the night view of Hangang Bridge and Gangnam buildings, giving a very urban feel.

Transportation and Parking Information

🚇 Subway Use

15-minute walk from Exit 8-1 of Express Bus Terminal Station on Lines 3, 7, and 9. There are many convenience stores along the way, so it's good for buying snacks.

🚗 Car Use

There are parking lots 1, 2, and 3 at Banpo Hangang Park. 1,000 won for the first 30 minutes, 200 won for every 10 minutes thereafter. On weekends, you have to go early to get a spot!

💰 Cost

Free admission! You only need parking and snack money. It's a really cost-effective date course.

Different Charms in Each Season

Going in spring, the canola flowers on Seoraeseom were really beautiful, and a staff member told me that buckwheat flowers bloom in autumn! In summer, kids can play in the fountain.

Other Places to Visit Nearby

Since we were in Banpo, we explored the nearby area a bit. We did some shopping at the Express Bus Terminal Underground Shopping Center, and Garosu-gil at Sinsa Station was also close. Gangnam Station is just one subway stop away, so it's easy to connect.

There are surprisingly many good restaurants! There's a famous gopchang (intestine) restaurant near the terminal, and many cafes with a good atmosphere. Next time, I should plan a whole day course here.

Convenience Facilities and Practical Information

There are well-maintained restrooms everywhere. Also, there's a convenience store inside the park, so it's easy to buy snacks or drinks. There's a mat rental shop at the entrance, so you can just bring yourself!

Honestly, I didn't expect much, but I was completely satisfied! It's amazing to have such a healing experience in the heart of Seoul. I want to go again next time.
