A Secret Garden in Namhae Discovered by Chance

A friend said, "If you go to Namhae, you must visit Seomyi Garden!" I was skeptical, but... wow, it was amazingㅠㅠ. I confirmed with my own eyes that the beautiful photos I saw on Instagram were not exaggerated.

Seomyi Garden, hidden deep in Namhae-gun's Nam-myeon, is a European-style garden utilizing terraced rice fields. The access road was a bit winding, making me wonder, "Is this the right place?" But as soon as I arrived, I thought, "Ah, this is it!"ㅎㅎ

Entrance Fee and Parking Details

You can enter after paying 6,000 won for adults at the unmanned ticket booth. It was cheaper than I expected, which was nice! The parking lot is quite spacious, and parking is free.

However, there are no restrooms inside the garden, so I recommend using them before entering! I didn't know and had a bit of trouble laterㅋㅋ

A Garden Walk That Feels Like Europe

The atmosphere was unique from the entrance. Starting with the stream garden, there are several themed small gardens, each with its own charm and beauty!

The combination of stone walls and wildflowers was truly picturesque. It felt like being in a French countryside village. My friend and I kept saying, "Is this really Korea?"ㅎㅎ

Photo Spot - Sky Pond and Monet Garden

This is the photo zone that's all over Instagram! The sky pond was fascinating as the sky was perfectly reflected in the water. If you get the angle right, you can take truly fantastic photos.

And Monet Garden! It really felt like Monet's Giverny Garden. Taking a photo on the small bridge over the pond is like creating a masterpieceㅠㅠ

Everyone was taking photos with tripods. We took a lot with a selfie stick, and if you get the angle right, you can really get a great shot!

Gardens with Different Charms Each Season

I visited at the end of May, and the fresh greenery was beautiful. Various flowers were in full bloom! According to the staff, there are tulips in spring, lush greenery in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and a different charm in winter.

It's a place that makes you want to visit again each season. I especially want to come back when the autumn leaves are out!

Relaxing Tea Time at the Garden Cafe

There's a small cafe in the middle of the garden. It's an unmanned cafe, so you can relax quietly. You can enjoy the sea view while drinking coffee and look down at the garden... it was truly healing.

The prices are reasonable, and the view is amazing. However, the menu isn't extensive, so keep your expectations in checkㅎㅎ
